This is me at home just after the big IAPS swimming gala. The 10 IAPS prep schools in Kenya took part. I went to Brookhouse School the night before and slept there. I got loads of mosquito bites (as you might be able to see from this photo) because there weren't any mosquito nets. But there were ostriches and peacocks at the school because the headmaster likes birds. Also, the school looked like a castle and we had an amazing breakfast where the chef cooked your own omelette for you with your choice of topping.
This is at Peponi Secondary School where the gala was held. This is me and Maria waiting to start the U9 medley relay. This is me about to dive in for the 4th leg of the freestyle relay.
This is me swimming the freestyle relay. Our team came 2nd in our heat.
This is me about to start my U9 backstroke race. I came 4th in my heat and qualified for the final. I was one of only 3 Greensteds pupils to qualify for a final at the gala. This is me in the final.I was also given a prize from the sponsors. The prize winners were picked randomly. I got a kickboard.
I had fun even though it was a very long, hot day In Nairobi.
